Full-time Director of Programs
The Healthcare Consortium is a charitable organization with a mission to improve access to
healthcare and support the health and well-being of the residents of Columbia and Greene
Counties. Our organization serves as a Rural Health Network, engaging health and social care
providers, business leaders, and consumer advocates who collaborate to improve the health and
social care system, all with the goal of helping the people in our rural community to get and stay
healthy.
The Healthcare Consortium is currently seeking an experienced program manager to serve as our
Director of Programs to oversee and drive the growth of our consumer assistance programs.
In this full-time (35 hr / week,) non-exempt role, the Director manages all activities associated with the
Navigator Program, NY Connects, the Prescription Access and Referral Program, and Financial
Assistance Funds. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of all program budgets and
work plans, as well as the hiring, training and supervision of all program staff.
The Director of Programs is also responsible for expanding the program portfolio, which includes
identifying or designing programs that advance the mission, complement existing programs, and are
a good fit for the organization’s competencies and capacity. The role also entails scanning for
potential program funding opportunities and writing grants to secure new program support.
This is a senior role at the organization and part of the organization’s leadership team. Therefore, we
are searching for candidates with a minimum of five years’ experience in a program management
role that included the supervision of staff. Also expected are excellent organizational, interpersonal,
and communication skills.
The wage range for this position is $33 / hr to $38 / hr, depending upon skills and experience, with a rich
benefit package. The Healthcare Consortium’s offices are located in an ADA-compliant facility.
