We are hiring for a Full-Time Patient Service Representative for the Admitting Department in Dayton, WA!
The Admitting Department serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the hospital. Its primary role is to facilitate a smooth and efficient admission process for patients, whether they are arriving for scheduled procedures, emergency care, or direct admissions from outpatient clinics, ensuring that the admission process is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on years of experience, education, and licensing
- Full-Time, 40 hours/week
- Monday through Fridays, 7:30am - 5:00pm
- Full-Time Benefits include: Medical/Dental/Vision & Basic Life Insurance; eligibility to participate in a 401K Plan, as well as PTO and Sick Time Accruals
As a Patient Service Representative in the Admitting department, you will be responsible for registering hospital patients (outpatient and inpatient). You will verify insurance and obtain inpatient authorizations as applicable, store and index images of patient picture identification and insurance cards(s), monitor reception desk and answer phones, review, sort, and address mail on a daily basis, direct patients to appropriate departments, review Emergency Department (ED) visits for registration accuracy, and perform client billing.
To be successful in this role you will have at least one-year of customer service experience; previous hospital and/or office administration experience is preferred.
