We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager/Safety Coordinator to join our team at Columbia Elevator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and initiatives within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk management to ensure the well-being of our employees and the environment.
Job Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant agencies.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement corrective actions to mitigate safety and environmental concerns.
- Provide EHS training to employees, supervisors, and managers on topics such as hazard communication, PPE usage, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventative measures to reduce future occurrences.
- Manage the facility's waste management program, including hazardous waste disposal, recycling initiatives, and pollution prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, permits, and regulatory filings.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes to proactively address EHS challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related field. (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong understanding of fabrication processes and associated hazards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other applicable EHS standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, motivate, and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify risks, develop solutions, and drive results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS software applications for data management and reporting.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
