Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Repair Technician with a strong background in maintaining and repairing machinery in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role is crucial to ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. The Machine Technician will work closely with other team members to uphold safety standards and enhance production processes.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of CNC machines, welding equipment, and other production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct repairs as necessary.
- Utilize tools to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system issues on CNC machinery and welding equipment.
- Perform emergency repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Provide input for machine installations or relocations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while working on machinery.
- Work closely with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities for minimal disruption of production.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on CNC machinery and welding equipment is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Machine Repair Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
- Familiarity with electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues across departments.
- Willingness to adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.
