Columbia Forest Products, an employee owned company and leader and innovator of hardwood plywood, has an opportunity available at our Chatham, Virginia facility for an Inside Sales Representative. The Sales Representative is specifically responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service. This position constantly monitors customers' orders, advises the customer and the mill of any changes and works closely with outside sales to consistently meet the customers' needs of hardwood plywood products.
The sales representative is a customer advocate, constantly seeking to exceed customer needs, fairly settling claims and problem solving. Responds to all sales inquiries from outside sales and from customers that are received in the mill. The ISR quotes price, availability and anticipated manufacturing time of product to the customer and outside sales. Works closely with material buyers to meet customer demand. The ISR keeps current on all price list, manufacturing schedules and accurate order file posting. The ISR is also responsible for entire product line, including excess inventory and is responsible for all negotiating and handling all customer claims/opportunities. The ISR role career path can lead to increased responsibilities within the customer service environment or toward a field sales representative role in managing a territory.
