The Director of Finance will manage all financial operations, budgets, and reporting, ensuring that our business decisions support both growth and the company's mission of cultural integrity.

Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals and mission-driven initiatives.Oversee financial reporting, audits, and compliance to ensure accuracy and transparency.Provide insights into financial performance and key growth opportunities, partnering with senior leadership to drive business strategy.Manage accounting processes, cash flow, and cost controls, ensuring fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.Qualifications :
Extensive experience in finance (10 years typically), including roles with increasing responsibility.Prior experience in retail or consumer goods is highly beneficial, given the industry's specific challenges (e.g., inventory management, seasonal fluctuations, pricing strategies).Experience in leadership roles (Director or above) where they have managed teams and complex financial operations.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is often preferred.Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset, and a passion for supporting Indigenous art and culture through ethical business practices.Expert knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) : Budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.Strong command of accounting principles : GAAP / IFRS knowledge is a must for financial compliance.Proficiency in retail financial metrics like gross margin, inventory turnover, and same-store sales.ERP systems : Experience with retail-focused ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, or retail-specific platforms.Data analytics : Familiarity with tools like SQL, Tableau, or Power BI for data-driven decision-making.Ability to align financial goals with company strategy, focusing on profitability, cost control, and market positioning.Risk management expertise : Skilled in assessing and mitigating financial risks, including market trends, competition, and economic factors.Inventory and cash flow management : Understanding of the importance of cash flow in retail and ability to work closely with merchandising and supply chain teams.Note : All duties and responsibilities are essential functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities.
