The Foundation Donor Specialist, reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, is responsible for cultivating, developing, and overseeing relationships with existing donors and new prospects, and managing the execution of major fundraising initiatives, including the upcoming BuildCMH fundraising campaign.

Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
Excellent customer service, verbal/written communication, and interpersonal relations skills to communicate effectively with leadership and staff
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, implement and follow through with attention to detail, with minimal supervision
Creative problem-solver, solution-oriented, able to stay flexible and professional under the pressure of multiple demands
Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple complex tasks and set priorities
Acts as a team member and supports the success of others
Proficient computer skills including word processing, database management, and spreadsheet development
License/Certification

Education and/or Experience
Three years of fundraising experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
