What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant I position at Columbia Memorial Hospital?
ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENT
Responsible for accounting, tracking, and organizing all operational and capital related expenses while maintaining supporting documentation that may be required by various external agencies associated with CMH projects. Assists the Accounting Supervisor/Manager in all accounting related functions that support the hospital’s financial operations.

Education and/or Experience
Associates degree in a relevant discipline and two (2) years of experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of training/experience that would prepare the candidate to successfully satisfy the duties of the position. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
