Graphic Designer and Front Counter Customer Service
Immediate Opening for Full Time
Busy business to business marketing and print provider seeking digital pre-press, print, layout professional and customer service representative. The immediate opening will be very heavy front counter customer service. No remote working. Training on shop specific equipment will be provided for operation of many different types of print production equipment including digital printers, laser engraver, sand carving machine, flatbed printer and other roll fed wide format equipment. Running various pieces of bindery equipment a possibility. Including folders, cutters, collators, ect. This is a fast paced position and applicant must be able to switch from project to project quickly.
Applicant must have excellent working knowledge of PC platform. Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis in InDesign and Illustrator is a must. Day to day duties include front counter customer service, running printing equipment, preparing proofs, creating basic layouts of forms, business cards, signs and banners. Printing jobs, scanning, scaling blueprints. Many jobs require immediate same day service and turn around. Applicant has to be able to switch projects throughout the day.
Applicant will also be responsible for digital production and preparing files for offset printing. Applicant will be required to work with customers and our vendors on their jobs from beginning to end. Applicant will be required to order supplies and other materials for jobs. Also, front counter customer service and follow up on proofs. Vinyl install, plotting and weeding experience a huge plus. Going out on vinyl installs a possibility. Other duties include ordering supplies, answering phones, deliveries, and front counter service, making invoices and emailing customers when jobs are finished.
Mail processing of various Bulk Mail classes (First Class, Standard, Non-Profit, EDDM). Looking for someone with experience in processing mailing lists, preparation and printing of artwork (envelopes, postcards, etc.) and generating and/or filling out required USPS mailing paper work. This position leans heavily into variable data printing and adherence to USPS mailing rules and regulations. Attention to detail is key.
