Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Log Scaler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring and assessing logs to determine their quality and volume. This role requires a strong proficiency with detail task, and the ability to work in a mill yard environment. A background in timber industry is advantageous but not required. On the job training.
Responsibilities
- Measure logs to ensure accurate assessments.
- Evaluate the quality of logs based on size, species, and defects.
- Maintain accurate records of log measurements and assessments.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure efficient workflow in the millwork setting.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work at mill site, outside, all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a mill yard environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Drivers license and ability to travel to job sites out of area
- Any Logging, mill work or forestry experience is a plus.

Pay: $19.67 - $30.92 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
