Summary :
The Mobile & Community-Based Services Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to a team of substance use disorder professionals, case managers, and peer counselors. The supervisor will oversee both clinic-based and community-based staff, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices and maintains a high standard of care in providing services to clients with substance use disorders in the NorthStar Opiate Treatment Programs.

Essential Job Responsibilities :
- Individual Supervision :
- Conduct regular individual supervision sessions with each member of the clinical and peer counseling team.
- Provide guidance, support, and feedback to clinicians regarding their caseloads, treatment plans, and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate the SUD counseling and peer counseling staff’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and providing training as necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of supervision best practices. Participate in trainings to continue clinical supervision skill development.
- Group Supervision :
- Conduct group supervision sessions to facilitate case consultations and ongoing professional development.
- Promote a collaborative learning environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and best practices across settings (clinic, mobile, and outreach).
- Address any challenges or concerns raised by clinicians and peer counselors during group supervision and provide guidance for resolution.
- Documentation Review :
- Review and evaluate clinical and peer counseling documentation for compliance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
- Provide constructive feedback to SUD clinicians and peer counselors regarding documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of content.
- Assist clinicians in developing effective and client-centered treatment plans and progress notes.
- Co-Signature of Documentation :
- Co-sign clinical documentation as required by agency policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure timely completion of co-signatures and communicate any concerns or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel through remote means.
- Verify that co-signed documentation accurately reflects the services provided and aligns with the client's treatment goals.
- Chart Reviews :
- Conduct periodic chart reviews to ensure compliance with documentation standards, clinical protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify any deficiencies or areas of improvement in the documentation process and provide feedback and training to address them.
- Maintain accurate records of chart reviews and follow up on corrective actions implemented by clinicians.
- Clinical Training and Development :
- Stay updated on the latest developments, research, and best practices related to the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria through learning opportunities.
- Provide education and training to clinicians on ASAM criteria and assist in the application of the criteria in clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
- Provide education and training to clinicians and peer counseling staff on evidence-based practices, effective outreach, engagement techniques, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and relevant therapeutic modalities.
Support clinical and peer counseling staff in their professional development plans.
Education, Licensing and Experience :
Salary : $325
