Job Description
Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal is an industry leader in Commercial Roofing with over 28 years’ experience. We are hiring a Service Manager/Coordinator to join our talented and growing team of professionals. The company, headquartered in Tualatin Oregon, operates in Oregon, California, and Washington.
The Service Manager is responsible for overall planning and scheduling, resource allocation, accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Service manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of Service project management like - Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management, as well as Customer Interaction.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, Outlook and databases
- Minimum 3 years roofing or construction experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards
- Ability to plan and organize a team effort
- Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
- Strong focus on quality
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate supplies, materials, equipment, and crews support
- Purchase materials, supplies, and jobsite services
- Daily coordination of service crews.
- Plan and schedule deliveries of equipment to job sites as necessary.
- Implementation of various operations through proper coordination (Vendors, Manufacturers and Subcontractors)
- Notify administration and sales about schedule and billing reporting.
- Notify all service team of their schedules a day before schedule time.
- Oversee the service jobs from start to finish
- Properly and promptly close out Work Orders.
- Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed
- Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project
- Create Billing projections for month to meet or exceed budget
- Communication with Customer as to current schedule, deadlines and progress
- Responsible for Changes in scope vis Change Orders (Estimates, time change and Billing)
- Ability to forecast job completion budget as well as completion schedule
- Monitor No Charges – with executive approval
- Check on service and production crews to make sure daily production was met
- Make sure all paperwork is being filled out regularly
- Become a Super-User for DataForma and learn other software used corporate wide.
- Attend training and stay up to date on software and processes
- Manage & maintain our maintenance program to include scheduling timely maintenance, manage contracts and maintenance log, coordinate with customer for scheduling, prepare new contracts when prior contract expires to secure new contract, maintain paper and electronic records of service(s) performed, ensure all documentation is accessible in the customer portal for all CRA clients.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
