What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT - 4399 Material Handler I position at Columbia Tech?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs physical and administrative tasks involved in the handling and storage of inventory.
- Executes distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
- Participates in material movement with various equipment, including PLTs.
- Participates initiatives to update and improve material data stored in Epicor and Omnify
- Helps ensure clean and safe conditions throughout area of responsibility.
- Collects, and reports departments KPIs to Leadership as directed.
- Executes layout changes to warehouse racking at the direction of Leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a role responsible for issuing and handling material.
- Good math skills and intermediate computer knowledge.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience with Epicor or other WMS/ERP preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Previous forklift experience or ability to pass forklift training and exam.
- Previous experience installing and removing pallet racking preferred.
