What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title Coordinator (Full-time) position at Columbia Title?
With over 30 years of experience, Columbia Title offers comprehensive title and closing services to real estate professionals, buyers and sellers throughout Indiana. Our Title Coordinators are responsible for reviewing title commitments, clearing clouds on title and preparing closing documents for real estate closings. (This is not a closing agent position.) Three plus years of experience in the title insurance industry or mortgage banking is preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Following company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines. 2. Working with lien holders clearing mortgage, judgment and tax liens. 3. Determining the required legal documents for closing. 4. Auditing file to determine clearance for closing the transaction. 5. Reviewing post-closing documents for accuracy before recording. 6. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
COMPENSATION & HOURS:
Hourly wage will be commensurate with experience. Paid vacation and holidays. Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This position may rarely require some overtime during our peak season.
