TIME COMMITMENT : Approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (This position includes significant evening and weekend hours)

COMPENSATION : $25 / hour
Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Affairs, High School and Non-Degree Programs, the incumbent performs a variety of tasks to support the Pre-College Program students at the School of Professional Studies. The Student Services Coordinator serves as a leader and resource within the Internship in Building Community and provides substantial administrative and program support to Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs. The employee’s primary role is to oversee the daily operations of the Student Services Office which serves students, parents, and interns.
Responsibilities
- Substantially assist the Associate Director in administrative duties, including management of the Pre-College Student Services Office.
- Provide administrative support to all operational projects related to the Pre-College & Visiting Programs Student Affairs team.
- Attendance tracking
- Student roster management
- Managing the office email accounts
- Responding to all calls
- Development of communications collateral
- Student ID tracking and management
- Reviewing and processing out-of-boundary / overnight requests for residential students
- Assisting students with accommodation needs and coordinating intern staffing when appropriate.
Ensure that interns are responsibly following the program’s financial policies and procedures.
