POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Services, the Student Financial Services (SFS) Enrollment Services Center Coordinator (ESC) will serve as liaison to the Enrollment Services Center, the college’s one-stop student service operation. The incumbent ensures accurate responses for all financial aid and general student financials inquiries and conducts appropriate referrals to main SFS offices. The SFS ESC Coordinator will work as part of a larger ESC Team and collaborates frequently with the Division of Enrollment Services and Student Affairs. In addition, the incumbent participates in financial aid activities, including FAFSA filing workshops, Admissions recruitment events, and provides basic advisement.
In addition to the CUNY title overview, the duties of the SFS ESC Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the communication and dissemination of timely and accurate financial aid and student financial information at the ESC. Respond to inquiries from students in a timely fashion and maintain student and administrative records in accordance with the CUNY Records and Retention Policy.
- Assist in the training and supervision of part-time staff.
- Manage the Student Financial Services virtual front desk.
- Coordinate call campaigns to students with balances and outstanding financial aid documentation.
- Assist students with the usage of online services and systems.
- Conduct financial aid workshops for students and parents as needed.
- Participate in college open houses and orientation activities. Represent SFS programs off campus, as requested.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of a cross-training plan for Student Financial Services. Support the development of customer service training for Student Financial Services staff.
- Assist with the coordination of the ESC’s staffing schedule in collaboration with the offices of the Bursar, Financial Aid and Call Center.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions, seminars, and other professional development activities at the discretion of the SFS Director.
- Monitor and update content for related social media pages as necessary.
- Prepare reports related to student services.
- Perform related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Must be able to work some evening and occasional weekend hours.
Preferred Qualification
- Two years of experience with CUNY financial aid systems is preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PeopleSoft.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail require.
- Professional attitude, ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
- Ability to use judgment to utilize and impart confidential information.
- The ability to present information to a diverse group of individuals is preferred.

- Conducts workshops on enrollment management services and processes
- Counsels students, staff and faculty on academic registration, admissions, testing, and related processing
- Manages student information databases and resolves issues with student records and transactions
- Ensures compliance with college, Federal, and New York State regulations and policies
- Creates and updates content for web pages, bulletins, and other media to ensure effective communications to students and campus community
- May supervise clerical and/or part-time staff and coordinate work schedules
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$47,861 - $49,960; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
