Duties
- Assist in the creation and manage the weekly church bulletin
- Create and design promotional pieces as submitted by the ministries/departments
- Create and manage weekly graphics for Sunday mornings
- Assist in the creation of publications used for various church ministries including Christmas and Easter, ColumbusU, VBS, and special publications used for new member orientation, fund raising, etc.
- Manage and/or create digital and print pieces for internal and external communications
- Meet on a regular basis with the supervisor
- Attend and participate in All Staff events during the week if schedule permits
- Maintain the promotions calendar with guidance from the supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Operations.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and other media software preferred and ability to demonstrate knowledge during the interview process.
- Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and ability to provide creative input across ministry areas.
- Be a good steward with the resources God has provided to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (Matthew 25:21).
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (Colossians 3:23, 24).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
