The Location
CBC Brewery – Founded in 1988, Columbus Brewing Company is one of the longest-running breweries in Ohio and the oldest brewery in Central Ohio. Our brewery is situated just outside of downtown at 2555 Harrison Road and it’s where we create our innovative and high-quality beers.
The Work
We’re looking for a passionate Quality Laboratory Technician to support the analysis of raw materials, in-process beer, and finished products throughout the brewing and packaging process. Using microbiology, analytical chemistry, and sensory techniques, you’ll help ensure every pint meets our high-quality standards. Collaboration is key in this role, as you’ll work closely with management, brewers, cellar staff, and the packaging team to maintain effective communication and uphold quality benchmarks.
The Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in food/fermentation science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- Prior lab experience with techniques like pipetting and microbiological plating is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Excellent multitasking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb occasionally.
- Must be at least 21 years old and follow company safety standards.
