Position Overview
The Latchkey Assistant Coordinator position is six hours per day with the hours being 12 pm to 6 pm Monday through Friday, The Latchkey Assistant Coordinator works directly with the Latchkey Co-Coordinators to maintain the daily operations of the Latchkey program.

Essential Duties

- Coordinates the Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) process and documentation
- Communicates regularly with Latchkey parents to assist in the PFCC process
- Collaborates with the CCS Food Service Department to order daily Latchkey snacks and provide
- Supports the Latchkey Co-Coordinators in planning and conducting the annual Latchkey orientation, monthly Latchkey Teacher meetings, and district-approved Professional Development
- Supports and ensures quality standards are met regarding program design and curriculum materials
- Regularly communicates with ECE Supervisor and Director as needed
- Assures program quality and consistency by regularly visiting all site locations
- Supports Latchkey staff with lesson planning, problem-solving, and any other issues needing to be addressed
- Ensures staff to student ratios are maintained by subbing at Latchkey locations as needed
- Maintains a valid Ohio teaching license
- Experience working in a school age childcare setting
- Knowledge of the Publicly Funded Childcare process
- The ability to properly and positively communicate to parents regarding PFCC placements
- Competency in addressing any concerns or issues with parents, staff and students
- Tools/Equipment Use: Desktop PC with keyboard and mouse, laptop, scanner, calculator, software, desk, and adjustable chair
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling and twisting
- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional lifting and carrying (less than 10 pounds)
- Environment: Works in office setting. May also be required to work in a school setting as a Latchkey substitute.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position
- Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions
