This position is responsible for supervising inmates in the maintenance of city parking structures and surrounding areas.Manages and supervises the work of the inmates and maintains the safety of inmates around the public.Responsible for the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of all METRA facilities, garages, METRA’s campus and the routes.Schedules the cleaning of city public parking garages and city parking lot.Maintains all METRA lawn tools; equipment; and inventories equipment.Handles the logistics for meetings; set up and take down tents; moves furniture and audio equipment as needed.Maintains METRA facilities and grounds; bus routes; bus stops and shelters as needed.Collects trash daily from public parking garages, parking lots and park-n-ride locations.Responsible for checking contracted shelters for trash weekly; cleaning if needed and billing for work.Installs benches, poles and signs at bus stops as needed; reconditions benches & sign poles as needed.Performs courier duties.Evaluates designated inmates in the OJT Program.Performs other related duties as assigned.
