This position is responsible for supervising a crew in the maintenance of trees on city property.Supervises, trains, and evaluates employees.Inspects and maintains vehicle and equipment.Trains personnel in the operation of a bucket truck, chipper, and a chipper truck.Prunes and removes trees; operates a chipper.Trains and supervises personnel in the use of safety procedures and the procedures for trimming and removing trees.Flags traffic; brings vehicles and pedestrians through the work site safely.Responds to citizen questions.Prepares work orders and daily worksheets; reviews work orders daily to ensure completion.Evaluates incident and accident reports.Responds to emergency situations as needed and may be subject to on call hours.Performs other related duties as assigned.
