Position Overview: Vitria on the Square is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Operations Manager to join our team! The Event Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of event operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth execution of events. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of events, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Provide effective orientation and training for new team members and ongoing professional development for existing staff.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and a productive workplace for associates.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain safety, sanitation, and preventive maintenance standards.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing and sales promotion activities for events.
- Interact with guests and clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Oversee various aspects of event operations, including food standards, costs, scheduling, and safety.
- Develop and organize work schedules, shipments, and cleaning schedules.
- Manage employee conflicts and guest concerns effectively.
- Ensure consistent delivery of brand service standards in all areas.
- Continuously evaluate guest satisfaction and implement improvements.
- Stay informed about industry trends and propose ideas to enhance event offerings.
- Optimize sales and control costs, identifying areas for improvement.
- Set and achieve budgets and short- and long-term goals.
- Provide strong leadership to the event team to meet targets and complete monthly inventory.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Outgoing personality and proven self-starter.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in event operations or a related field.
- Previous experience in a venue or restaurant customer service role is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required upon hire.
