What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager - Laboratory Testing Services position at Columbus Regional Health?
What you need to know about this position:
- The Manager Lab Testing Services leads the daily operations of the Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Laboratory departments to promote achievement of clinical quality, business strategies, and the realizations of the system mission and vision.
- Reporting to the Director – Lab & Neuro Diagnostic Services, the Manager will operationalize goals of the Laboratory by utilizing appropriate staffing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting that appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
- The Manager must continually strive for excellence in Laboratory operations, structure, and resources to provide quality, timely, equitable, efficient and effective laboratory services for the benefit of patients and clinicians.
- Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The base pay compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This position is a salaried/exempt position with the general working hours of Monday – Friday 8am-5pm though the exact working hours may fluctuate based on the needs of the organization.
What the successful candidate will bring to this position:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study, Master’s degree preferred
- At least ten years of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and/or equivalent combination of training, education and experience demonstrating increased responsibilities and supervisory roles in the laboratory
