Job Description : The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia providers prior to, during and following patient procedures. This role involves preparing equipment, assist with the setup for the administration of anesthesia and maintaining inventory and supplies. The Anesthesia Technician plays a critical role in supporting the anesthesia providers thus ensuring the smooth operation of the anesthesia department.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Nursing Assistant certification and listed with the Division of Facility Services Registry. In lieu of certification, a minimum of 3 years of direct anesthesia technician experience will be considered.
- BLS certification within 1 week of employment.
Preferred : Certification as an anesthesia tech.
Experience : Minimum of one year of experience in a job-related work in the medical field.
