Role Overview:

The Company is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with strong interpersonal skills and expertise in AWS and DevOps methodologies. This Chicago-based role involves collaborating closely with clients to drive cloud adoption and implement cutting-edge solutions.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in Linux or Windows systems and major cloud providers (AWS preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and AWS SDK/CLI
• Domain expertise in areas like containerization, serverless, machine learning, or software development
• Proficiency in scripting, security controls, enterprise architecture, and CI/CD tools
  
  

What You'll Do:

• Lead AWS migration projects and design scalable cloud solutions
• Define and deploy AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Implement optimized architectures addressing cost, availability, and scalability
• Oversee migration of applications to containers or serverless platforms
• Communicate regularly with clients and internal teams

Technical Skills Requirements:

• 5-10 years' experience in Linux or Windows system engineering/administration.
• 3-5 years working with major cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• 3 years of AWS-specific expertise (if experienced in Azure/GCP).
• 2-3 years using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred).
• Expertise in one or more: Windows, Linux, Containerization, Serverless, Machine Learning, Software Development.
• Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and using AWS CLI/SDK.
• 2-3 years managing security controls (IAM, firewalls, antivirus, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise, network, system, and application architecture.
• Experience with source control systems (Git, VSTS, SVN).
• Skilled in CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Bamboo).
• Effective communicator with all organizational levels.
