About the Team:
As Valdez's primary fuel distributor, our team is at the heart of this vibrant community. You'll be part of a division that values family, safety, agility, and a strong work ethic. Our team members are passionate about supporting each other and learning from experienced drivers, particularly on the challenging Line Haul Road.

Your Role as a Fuel Tank Operator:
Safety First: You will adhere to strict loading and unloading protocols, ensuring safety in all aspects of your driving. Following both federal and state regulations is essential to our operations.
Drive with Precision: You will operate double trailer combinations to transport fuel from the local refinery to the Port of Valdez tank farm—handling this critical task with skill and professionalism.
Navigate with Expertise: Maneuver through diverse and challenging terrain, including narrow passageways, gravel roads, and ever-changing weather conditions (from sunshine to snow and everything in between).
Compliance is Key: You’ll maintain a clean driving record and stay up-to-date with all commercial driving regulations. Attention to detail and dedication to safety are paramount.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: At least 5 years of truck driving experience, preferably with fuel truck handling.
Licenses & Endorsements: Valid Alaska Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with Hazardous Materials and Tankers endorsements.
Skills: A strong understanding of truck maintenance, federal and state road freight laws, and the ability to solve problems on the fly. Clear communication and a calm demeanor under pressure are essential.
Safety-First Mindset: You must be able to make sound decisions even in challenging, high-stress situations while navigating difficult road and weather conditions responsibly.
