Colwill Engineering, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Project Manager in the Tampa, FL area to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting the Project Managers, Superintendents, and other team members by ensuring projects are on schedule and objectives are met. This position requires experience assisting multiple projects in all phases of Electrical Construction.
- The APM will be assisting the project manager with daily tasks, including cost control, estimates, job walks, and general management of each project from beginning to end.
- Originate and maintain the preconstruction permitting process.
- Coordinate travel and lodging for Electrical Project Manager and Crew.
- Compose Project Change Orders and issue purchase orders.
- Assist with the submittal of Contractor Pay Applications.
- Regular and consistent professional communication with Electrical Project Manager and contractors.
- Aid in project schedules to complete on time and within budget.
- Material acquisitions and manage logistics of materials.
You’ll be a great fit if:
- High School Diploma required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Also, highly proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel. Accubid & PlanGrid knowledge also preferred.
- 3 years of experience managing multiple projects in Electrical Construction.
- Have high level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
