Role Overview:
As a CAD Designer, you'll play a key role in transforming ideas into precise, functional designs for pool filtration systems and associated mechanical piping and pump systems. Collaborating with engineers and project managers, you will help shape projects from concept to completion, ensuring designs meet client specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Design Creation: Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for mechanical piping systems, pumps, and filtration systems using AutoCAD and other design software.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with engineers and project managers to refine concepts and meet project goals, particularly for pool filtration and associated systems.
- Quality Assurance: Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to ensure all designs align with client requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Problem Solving: Conduct design reviews, simulations, and calculations to identify potential improvements and ensure design integrity for piping and pump systems.
- Procurement Support: Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and assist with sourcing components related to mechanical systems and filtration equipment.
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success from start to finish, particularly in designing and integrating mechanical systems for pool applications.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices related to pool filtration, mechanical piping, and pump systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in a CAD design role, with proficiency in AutoCAD and other design tools
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including mechanical piping systems, pumps, and filtration equipment
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
