Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition –
· Deploy and execute the company's talent acquisition process to source, select, and hire a competent, diverse, and talented workforce that fits our Comar culture.
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the selection of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Achieves recruiting key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Leverages external and internal sourcing strategies to deliver a pipeline of diverse, top talent.
· Communicates Comar Culture/Values and “Why” Comar is a great place to work in order to attract & hire top talent.
· Networks through industry contacts, events, trade groups, professional associations, social media, colleges and local communities to attract and hire talent.
· Tracks, analyzes, and reports candidate pipeline status, recruitment trends, and key recruitment metrics to adjust as needed to drive effective candidate flow and time to fill.
Talent Processes and Training & Development
· Execute Comar’s processes, programs and tools for career progression eligibility as well as training and development. Including: Performance Management, Merit Planning and Training & Development.
· Work with plant manager to identify team-based activities that will improve and elevate team performance.
· Capture and communicate the key metrics to measure timely execution and impact of individual progression and talent development processes.
Employee Engagement/Retention & Culture Development
· Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
· Executes and implements employee engagement surveys along with subsequent action plans.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Participate in the employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations with the help of the HR Manager for the site.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Promote company health, wellness, and safety programs and initiatives.
· Capture and communicate the key metrics for employee engagement with leaders and across all employee groups.
· Monthly reporting of Safety data, including, but not limited to, Decide Safe, Near Miss and STOP Observations.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business
· 4 years of Human Resources Generalist experience with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition and Employee Engagement and Development.
· Proven track record implementing recruiting processes, training and career progression programs, and building a high performance, high engagement workplace culture.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced growing business.
· A customer-centric mindset, with an outgoing, approachable personality and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
· Proven organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments/projects, timelines and to identify project interdependencies, resource needs, potential risks/pitfalls, and mitigation plans.
· Working knowledge of employment and labor laws to ensure regulatory compliance at the local, state, and federal level.
· Ability to make quality business decisions independently, high degree of confidence and ability to get results.
· Comfortable working with staff within all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working in Plastics Packaging Manufacturing with ISO requirements and Lean principles.
· Experience sourcing/marketing a wide range of technical positions including school, trade or professional association relationships and programs.
