Skills And Abilities
- Ability to understand and operate simple hand tools and machinery
- Ability to work with tools overhead
- Maintains outside of building and grounds. May be required to operate power equipment for plowing snow and clearing walkways.
- Maintains plant shrubbery by pruning and fertilizing
- Maintains orderly appearance of grounds by sweeping walkways and paved areas, and general cleanliness of building and grounds.
- Performs cleaning of outside of building.
- As assigned, assists in routine maintenance and services of building utilities including heating systems, air compressors, water systems, boiler and electrical system.
- As assigned, does building painting including walls, doors, equipment.
- Performs testing of alarm systems and on fire equipment.
- May be required, when properly trained, to dispose of hazardous waste.
- Follow the established Quality systems and policies
- Follow the established Safety systems and policies
- Good attendance
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
- Requires some lifting up to 75 pounds 1-10 times/day
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to crouch, kneel, lay on back, and must be able to physically maneuver themselves to work on machines/equipment (overhead, difficult places)
- Must be able to stand/walk 75 – 100% of shift duration
- Ability to work with both hands and arms (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three to six months experience
- Electrical, HVAC and Plumbing experience/certifications preferred
Salary : $25 - $26
