Demonstrates expertise in technical support to customers and sales reps with strong mechanical skills. Assumes responsibility for small to medium scale projects with minimal supervision.

The Mechanical Engineer will develop new products, processes, machinery, and equipment for packaging applications.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Managing projects from initial design concept through production, ensuring project objectives are met
- Supporting business development with Sales, by working directly with customer engineering & internal/external manufacturing teams to develop & specify the product
- Completing & releasing product designs (models & drawings) which meet customer requirements and internal best practices, into internal and customer CAD systems
- Becoming a subject matter expert to provide exceptional customer support & robust designs
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, communicating project status to critical project stakeholders, and escalating concerns when appropriate
- Maintaining accurate product development records
- Working with project team to develop and update documentation per customer requirements
- Traveling as required to interface with customer engineering and manufacturing bases
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Working knowledge of Inventor and/or SolidWorks
- Machine design experience utilizing a 3D modeling platform
- 8 years of hands on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- FEA or analysis experience is a plus
