Essential Functions:
- Performs welding processed on Carbon & Stainless-Steel using welding metals and metal alloys.
- Required to weld carbon with SMAW.
- Required to weld according to ASME Section XI.
- Follow engineered drawings and specifications.
- Constant use of hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as gas welders, and gas torches.
- Fabricate from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Inspect assembled vessels and individual components, such as tubes, fittings, valves, and controls.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts, such as safety valves and regulators.
- Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, etc.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
- Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats to located defects such as tubes, fittings, valves, and controls to locate defects.
- Lay out plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal, and locate and mark bending and cutting lines, using protractors, compasses, and drawing instruments or templates.
- Must be able to climb ladder, drive vehicles and lift over 50 lbs.
- Current U.S. Citizen
- Must have valid Driver’s License.
- Must pass 6G SMAW on 2” Carbon/.154 Wall.
- Reliable transportation to and from job site until trial period is over and company vehicle is provided.
- Drug screen and background check is required. PA State Clearances will be required yearly and be provided by CS&E.
- Flexible to work overtime/weekends when needed to meet the customer’s deadline or requirements.
- Ability to work independently AND with other technicians.
- Maintain clean, neat and professional appearance.
