What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASME Code Welder - Field Lead position at Summit Skilled Solutions?
Currently seeking a Field Service Lead Man for an ASME code shop in the Export, PA Area. Must have at least five year’s experience in repair and installation and repair of boilers, pressure vessels and piping. At least 3 years of working as a Lead Man in the field. This is for local work and a work truck will be provided.
ASME Field Service Lead Man Requirements:
- Must Perform welding processes on Carbon & Stainless steel and other metals
- Building of vessels and heat exchangers according to print specs
- Must have Previous ASME Section IX Welding Certifications
- Weld according to ASME Section VIII & ASME Section XI
- Ability to read blueprints
- Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions
ASME Field Service Lead Man Qualifications:
- Must pass 6G SMAW on 2 1/2" Carbon / .276" Wall & 6G GTAW on 2" stainless / .218" Wall
- Sanitary Stainless is a big plus
- 3-5 years of verifiable ASME experience
- Drivers license Required
- Drug screen and background check required
