Job Summary

As a member of the Comcast Global Accounting Organization, this role will be responsible for accounting and analysis related to various Customer Operations P&L accounts. Responsibilities include preparation of schedules to support accruals, quarterly financial statement analysis, journal entries and various account reconciliations.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work for Comcast in the United States without a current or potential future need for sponsorship.

This opportunity is onsite at PA - Phoenixville, 200 Cresson Blvd

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial reports analyzing data for management review.
  • Strong experience in Excel.
  • A degree in Accounting is required.
  • Ensures the balance sheet accounts are accurately stated based on compiled reconciliation procedures and agreement with source documents.
  • Enters monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper back up to substantiate the entry.
  • Reviews financial statements for operating trends and results.
  • Develops automated Oracle routines such as mass allocations and re-occurring journal entries.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Experience in Automation tools is a plus.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Accounting

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
