Core Responsibilities
As a senior member of the Comcast Syndication Development team the Engineer 5 will be responsible for planning, design, development, and rolling out Comcast APIs used by Comcast partners to integrate with Comcast backend services. In particular:
- Work with partners and technical architects on technical requirements definition
- Establish development best practices
- Design major features and capabilities
- Make major technical and architectural decisions
- Mentor developers on the team
- Perform code reviews/approvals
- Expand the document development best practices
- Assist with cloud-based infrastructure planning and implementation
- Assist in the ongoing system support and maintenance
- Be integral part of the team's agile practices, propose the delivery process optimizations as needed
- Maintain technical documentation
- Create technical tickets for developers
- Suggest quality and reliability improvements
- Hands-on feature and infrastructure development
Requirements
- Self-starter
- Experience developing technical requirements for complex solutions
- Experience developing new software architecture
- Previous experience mentoring developers
- Experience developing, maintaining, and organizing technical documentation
- Expert in AWS
- Expert in Python
- Extensive experience developing Restful high-volume APIs using API Gateway, Lambda, Python
- Good understanding of AWS automated deployment technologies in CI/CD context
- Good understanding of automated testing approaches for cloud-based Restful APIs in AWS environment
- Experience with secure software development best practices
Nice to Have Skills
- Previous Telecommunications industry experience
- Full stack development experience including React, Bootstrap
- Github actions experience
