Job Summary

As an Audio Visual Technician on the AV Operations Team, you will assist end users at all levels to launch video meetings and utilize collaboration technologies. You will be the first point of contact in troubleshooting for all in-room conferencing technologies. You can produce various types of events applying 3rd party tools like Teams, Webex and Airmeet and can assist executives with the creation, set up and execution of large hybrid meetings.

Job Description

This Audio Visual Technician role plays a key role in providing in-person frontline operational support across all the technologies in the conference room and collaboration infrastructure. You will work directly with the Video and Collaboration teams to ensure the quality of end-to-end experience for users in conference rooms and hybrid meetings/events who are using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools. This is an exciting opportunity for one to be part of the nationalization of AV Conferencing Standards and the implementation and support of Microsoft Teams Rooms.

Who does the Analyst 1, AV Operations work with?

AV Operations Team members collaborate work closely with Microsoft, Cisco and other leaders in the collaboration tools space. You work with local AV and IT peers from across the national footprint including the Divisions, Partner Teams, NBCU and SKY. You also partner with other technology companies like Polycom, Logitech, and Crestron to support products deployed within the Comcast environment.

We are looking for individuals to help us support the technologies that create a best-in-class collaboration experience for all users regardless of their location.

In your role, you will support the in-room operations of Comcast collaboration tools and infrastructure. You will Identify issues and work with peer teams to resolve root cause. You will help QA and test collaborative feature sets that have been identified by peer teams as next generation technology.

Your actions will help define the technology boundaries and direction for collaboration and conferencing. You will bring the expertise and background in this technical area to assist us in crafting “the best hybrid workplace experience.”

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide technical services for the AV Operational Support Team working on the Philadelphia campus
  • Troubleshoot in-room conference room equipment issues and provide Tier 0 support of in room issues
  • Assist end users with meeting starts and provide hands on support for executives
  • Enter tickets in Service Now to supervise room issues
  • Understand user needs and assist in evaluating future technologies to support the hybrid work experience.
  • Assists in the deployment of new product releases
  • Work with Vendors and AV Integrators track issue resolution to closure
  • Provides consultation services for users with problems
  • Stay ahead of with technological developments within the industry.

  • Microsoft - Teams Devices & Direct Routing, 365 Suite, Azure, Exchange Online
  • Cisco - Webex Telepresence
  • Support of Flex Seating Tools - IOFFICE
  • Support of Hybrid Event Tools - Teams Live, Airmeet

Associate's Degree
