Job Summary
Responsible for directing and organizing the strategic financial planning process. Conducts performance, ROI, and competitive analysis. Reviews financial statements and analysis and demonstrates a strong understanding of business models. Leads and conducts special projects, financial analysis and research of business issues in order to provide management with financial data and business advice to support their resource allocation decisions and objectives for corporate growth and profitability. Partners with functional leads to develop, analyze, and synthesize new strategic initiatives.
Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform on a variety of branded 4K streaming devices and smart TVs. Powered by Comcast's global technology platform, Xumo devices and services feature an entertainment experience designed to make it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content through a world-class user interface and voice search, and for partners to meaningfully connect and engage with millions of consumers.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Conducts and documents financial analysis, business analysis and profitability and cost analysis and presents to senior management. Analyzes significant variances from plan in order to provide interpretations and recommendations to management.
- Serves as a channel for senior management to relay their financial planning and business needs / issues. Helps lead the preparation and review of Long Range Plan materials for the executive leaders and manages ongoing reporting objectives.
- Develops ways to continually improve processes to ensure thorough, timely, and accurate operational and financial analysis for management team.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
