We are seeking Avionic Technicians in Huntsville, AL for 6 month contracts, high possibility of extending or converting to an FTE.
Shift:
B shift: Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1:30pm
Pay Rate:
0-2 years of experience: $32.67
3 years of experience: $42.35
Pre-screen:
- Describe any testing systems that you have operated. Was it hydraulic or pneumatic?
- What tolerances are you familiar working with?
- Describe any precision assembly processes that you have performed.

Responsibilities:
- Precision assembly of rocket engine components: combustion devices, valves, turbomachinery, avionics, test
- Root cause and diagnostic component disassembly, repair, and work
- Hydraulic testing for valve actuation
- Nitrogen and Helium leak testing
- Preparation for environmental testing
- Hydro proof structural testing of components
- Detailed component inspection to tolerances of 0.0001in
- Creating and maintaining strict cleanliness requirements (liquid/gaseous oxygen compatibility)
- Support the design, procurement, installation, and integration of custom manufacturing and test equipment
- Support DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build and test
- Identify non-conformances and escapes, support and deploy corrective actions
Qualifications:
- 0 to 5 years of direct valve, turbomachinery, or engine assembly experience
- Mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly
- Extensive experience reading and understanding specification and detailed work instructions
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Scheduling, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
