Who we are looking for:
This position will apply engineering methodologies and principals to provide geotechnical and related services under general supervision of experienced engineers. This may include performing and/or leading subsurface investigations, engineering analysis and calculations, design and development of plans and specifications, and the preparation and review of reports for services provided.
What you’ll be doing:
- Receives guidance from senior engineers and project managers.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria to provide quality engineering services
- Performs field reconnaissance in completion of assignments
- Conducts and coordinates field logging and managing drilling program for variety of projects
- Prepares and reviews laboratory test results and make recommendations
- Performs and evaluates subsurface investigations including borings and test pits
- Maintains project budgets, record keeping, materials testing, and inspections
- Communicates and coordinates with other engineers, drill crews, admin personnel, sub-consultants and contractors to provide service
- Prepares and reviews technical reports and letters
- Satisfies multiple and unrelated deadlines
- Ensures project reports are completed and submitted timely
- Ensures accuracy for all items related to billing and invoicing for projects
- Provides input relative to needs of client to Project Manager
- Provides stellar client service and stellar service delivery with each client interaction.
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Geological, or a related field
- Typically 4 years of experience
- I.T certification required
- May have P.E. license
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution and follow-up
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written
- Ability to successfully manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently, and within a team environment to achieve goals
- Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
