Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines, ensuring precision and quality in the production. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, and the ability to work with various materials including sheet metal. The Laser Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting paths and dimensions.
• Assemble components as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Assist in operating other machinery such as CNC machines, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and press brake machines as required.

Skills

• Proficient in laser cutting techniques with hands-on experience in operating laser cutting machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex mechanical systems.
• Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) for quality control checks.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.
• Ability to operate CNC equipment, stamping presses, plasma cutting machines, and press brake machines is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
