Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Conduct patient observation to monitor changes in health status and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following established health and safety protocols.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being, particularly for those in memory care.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while providing care.
- Offer direct support to clients with various needs, ensuring their dignity and respect at all times.
Skills
- Experience in assisted living or home health settings is preferred.
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in client conditions promptly.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial.
- Certification in CPR is a plus.
- Familiarity with direct support services and memory care techniques is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
