Job Description
We are looking for a Transport Driver to join our team in the Rhinelander, Minocqua, and Tomahawk areas. This individual will be responsible for transporting clients between their homes, nursing facilities or the hospital to medical appointments. This job will require driving a company vehicle, loading and unloading wheelchairs and cots.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Load unload clients from vehicle
- Drive clients to medical appointments
- Drive clients home after appointment
- Assist with client load/unload process
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good repair
- Perform pre-trip routine maintenance on vehicles (replacing fluids, cleaning tires etc.)
- Comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Follow directions given to the client by the company representative or dispatcher
Skills needed:
- Vans are converted mini vans - no special license necessary
- Excellent communication skills in speaking with customers and or other drivers
- A professional demeanor in interacting with clients, managers, etc.
- Ability to drive for long periods of time in a hot/cold climate
- Be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Complete basic training for NEMT transportation and Defensive Driving, supplied by the company
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
