What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Desk Receptionist position at Comfort Family Dental?
We are a successful dental practice on the south side of Chicago, near Evergreen Park/Beverly. We love what we do and enjoy working with each other to help our patients address their dental needs. You will work with a wide variety of clientele from diverse financial and ethnic backgrounds. The ideal candidate will be comfortable multi-tasking, know when to use their common sense, and have effective communication skills. You must have a strong work ethic and a high regard for patient confidentiality and customer service are a must. We're looking for a dedicated, long term employee who we can trust, and who will bring a strong positive personality to our practice. Additionally, you must be familiar with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve, Carestack and various Microsoft softwares such as excel, and word.
Position Summary: To efficiently and effectively manage our schedule to ensure patient health, satisfaction and practice profitability
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage our schedule according to appointment scheduling guidelines to ensure all hours are scheduled efficiently and to production goal
- Check daily schedule for accuracy, capacity and distribution among hygienists
- Organize and maintain reports to ensure scheduling efficiency and effectiveness
- Follow-up on overdue hygiene and operative appointments
- Monitor family members who need appointments as well as patients you are working with
- Monitor confirmations and confirm appointments
- Monitor daily schedule flow
- Print monthly recall cards & labels and make certain they go out promptly
- Schedule all treatment approved by insurance
- Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies.
- Receptionist/Greeter responsibilities as needed
- Treatment Coordinator responsibilities as needed
- Stay current with deposit/end of day responsibilities
- Additional responsibilities as needed and as appropriate

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 37 per week
