Position Summary:
Oversee all aspects of office functions, to include supervising staff. Responsible for accounting operations, including production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor daily workflow of accounting and office staff; when needed step in to maintain a timely workflow
- Provide direction, training, and assistance to all office and accounting employees
- Review all A/P and A/R billings and other journals
- Generate monthly WIP and other various reports including commercial analysis, billing and labor projections
- Create financial reports monthly
- Prepare monthly SAIF report
- Review quarterly and annual payroll reports and tax returns
- Review monthly Workers Compensation reports
- Attend meetings with office staff and management
- Prepare annual budget and company business plan; Manage and approve capital expenditure requests based on budget/plan
- Establish and maintain account reconciliation schedule, approve account reconciliations, maintain general ledger; Reconcile all cash accounts monthly
- Meet with managers to go over job performance, labor management and create financials
- Coach managers with problem resolutions and general business coaching as necessary
- Manage the company’s general liability insurance process; Supervise all audits
- Other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints
- Effective presentation of complex topics
- Ability to commission, deploy and monitor effectiveness
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration; or equivalent business experience
- 10 years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation
- 5 years experience managing personnel and/or processes
- CPA or CMA designation preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
