PT Night Auditor
Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for computing, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records. The night auditor will also serve as a guest service agent in terms of handling any guest check in and check out procedures
Essential Job Functions:
- Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions
- Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.)
- Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash
- Manages daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report
- Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis
- Handles all internal control items as hotel policies and procedures dictate
- Makes daily deposits (as applicable)
- Records and makes all wake up calls properly
- Implements proper procedures in emergency situations
- Completes laundry as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Skills:
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate with guests
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Completes tasks on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan
- Knowledge of, and ability to, appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Prioritizes and plans work activities
- Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly
- Contributes to building a positive team spirit
Education and experience:
- High school diploma
- Accounting background preferred.
- Previous hotel experience desired.
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. and work with cleaning chemicals. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business needs.
