Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a commitment to fostering independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort for those you serve.
We are looking for someone who is willing and able to commute to, Sandpoint, Priest River, Blanchard, Athol and on the rare occasion Bonners Ferry. The right candidate will be comfortable driving to these locations during winter.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their participation in community activities.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and lifting of clients when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Help manage medications and remind clients of their schedules.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
Skills
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience is a plus.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and long-term care practices is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic health monitoring tasks, including taking vital signs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Physical capability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as required.
- A background in social work or related fields can be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
