Overview
We are seeking compassionate, reliable and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety in both home health and group home settings. Your responsibilities will include personal care, meal preparation, and companionship, all while fostering a supportive environment.
We need reliable Caregivers in Sandpoint and Bonners Ferry. Someone with open availability and willing to adjust to schedule changes easily would be our preferred candidate for these positions.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Lift and transfer clients safely using proper techniques to prevent injury (no lifting more than 25 pounds).
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or as a caregiver is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques that cater to specific dietary needs.
- Ability to assist with lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings including home health environments and group homes.
- A valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance and registration is required for transportation purposes.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
