We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of various maintenance techniques, including electrical systems, fabrication, and facilities upkeep. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Operate and maintain logic controllers to support automated systems within the facility.
- Fabricate components as necessary to support repair and maintenance efforts.
- Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed safely and efficiently.
- Conduct electrical repairs, including wiring, circuit testing, and installation of fixtures.
- Carry out general facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC servicing, and structural repairs.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components to ensure proper functionality.
- Execute residential painting tasks when required to maintain aesthetic standards of the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, schematics, logic controllers, and fabrication techniques is essential.
- Experience in supervising projects or teams is a plus.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
