JOB SUMMARY

We’re offering a rare and unique opportunity for someone looking to break into the HVAC trade with no experience necessary. As an Apprentice, you’ll learn how to diagnose, service, and maintain both residential and commercial HVAC equipment. In exchange for a 7-year employment commitment, we’ll mentor you and cover the cost of service school—or you can reimburse us for the training if you choose to leave sooner. Starting pay is $20-22 / hour, with room to increase as you gain experience and certifications. You’ll need your own set of basic tools, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn from our seasoned team of professionals.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assist senior technicians by shadowing them on service calls and learning diagnostic, repair, and maintenance procedures.

Diagnose, service, and maintain both residential and commercial HVAC units with guidance from experienced team members.

Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as changing filters, cleaning coils, and checking refrigerant levels, while adhering to safety protocols.

Follow all established safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of protective equipment.

Maintain your own basic tool kit, ensuring tools are in good working condition, and assist with organizing company tools, vehicles, and supplies.

Accurately document work performed, parts used, and any issues identified for future reference, and communicate findings to senior technicians and supervisors.

Interact professionally with customers, assisting senior technicians in explaining service details or next steps.

Attend HVAC service technician school, studying industry best practices, safety regulations, and evolving technologies, then apply these learnings in the field.

Stay updated on new industry technologies and best practices by participating in ongoing training and mentorship opportunities.

Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and fellow team members to ensure efficient completion of service calls and occasional on-call duties.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to personal tools are essential.
  • Strong communication abilities, a positive attitude, exceptional self-motivation, excellent time management skills, and a keen attention to detail are required.
  • Candidates should have a strong work ethic, outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, and be able to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Availability for evening and weekend work, a professional appearance, and exemplary customer service skills are mandatory.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Obtain EPA Certification, pursue NATE certifications, and stay updated on new industry technologies through ongoing training and mentorship.

  • This is a full-time position with opportunities for career advancement within the company, contingent upon continuous learning and completion of required training.
  • PAY & BENEFITS :

  • 20-22 per hour to start, increasing with training and experience
