What You'll Do:
- Financial Support: Assist in managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including job cost and percentage of completion reports.
- Compliance & Controls: Support adherence to GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Account Reconciliation: Assist in maintaining general ledger accuracy and performing account reconciliations.
- Cash Flow Oversight: Work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Audit Preparation: Support external audits and assist in implementing process improvements.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the corporate accounting team and other departments to align financial strategies.
- Process Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and reporting.
Who You Are:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- Professional Experience: 3 years in accounting, preferably in the construction or subcontracting industry.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of General Ledger, Job Cost, and Percentage of Completion Accounting (preferred).
- Industry Experience: Experience with publicly traded companies is a plus.
- Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of GAAP, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with automated financial reporting systems, COINS experience preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of federal and state financial regulations.
- Detail-Oriented & Analytical: Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports and projections.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Organized & Proactive: Effective time management and problem-solving skills to meet deadlines.
